My Guide to Camperforce

After working for Camperforce in 2013 and 2015 & 2016, I noticed a few things that I felt would be helpful to know up front and a few others that would just be nice to know for RVers considering working with the Camperforce program. 

My Guide to Camperforce, is an informative guide built from my personal experiences, but also a game plan that helped guide my family through two very enjoyable experiences.

We really struggled during our stay in Kentucky in 2013, as you’ll read about shortly, and believe me, those days were pretty stressful for a mother of four. But with some planning, preparation and forethought we were able to avoid those struggles in 2015 & 2016, which allowed us to reduce the stress and really enjoy the Camperforce program for what it was… an opportunity to be immersed in the Workamping community and meet other RVers who are working as they travel!

I knew this information needed to be shared with others considering signing up for Camperforce, because the information we found on the internet was not always accurate and most was not even that helpful. The majority were wither complaints or videos of personal experiences. 

There were also no other families sharing their experiences, which as you can imagine is completely different that what a solo traveler or couple would likely experience. And with no other family’s tale to base our journey off of, and limited concrete information about the program specifics, we were left winging something that really required planning and preparation.

In this guide, I’ll take you on a journey into the specifics of the Camperforce program regarding what it’s like to work in a warehouse, how to get the job, the application process, life while working at amazon, and some considerations that are specific to special situations like families. 

I won’t pretend I know everything about the Camperforce program or what working there is like for everyone who’s ever done it. I’ll just tell you about my own journey from the three seasons I worked for them and base my knowledge, tips, and recommendations on things I’ve actually witnessed and experienced first hand.
